SJM Arts, Commerce and Science College was established in 1984 under the divine guidance of Shriman Niranjan Jagadguru Mallikarjuna Murugharajendra Mahaswamy, beginning with the Arts stream to extend quality education to rural and economically disadvantaged students in and around Haveri. The Commerce stream was introduced in 1988, followed by the Science stream in 2000, thereby broadening academic opportunities and supporting the aspirations of a diverse student community.
